The plot of the game
Enshrouded takes us on a journey to the fantastic land of Embervale. Years ago, delicious mages caused a cataclysm that turned this world into a heap, and the shrouded land of the title was overrun by mutated beasts that lurk in the darkness. Fortunately, all is not lost. During gameplay, we take on the role of the Flameborn, whose mission is to rekindle the ancient fire and restore Embervale to its former glory.
Game mechanics
Enshrouded takes place in third-person perspective (TPP). The main focus of the game is survival. As you travel (on foot or in the air) through the vast open world of dense forests, towering mountains, sandy deserts, or dark caves and dungeons, you will gather resources and face various dangers.
We use these resources to create better and better equipment (especially weapons, armour and clothing) and to build different structures (from simple huts to mighty fortresses). When creating our headquarters, we need to remember that we won’t live there alone – over time, neutral characters will begin to seek refuge there; in exchange for the security they provide, they can offer us their advanced workshops, which are the source of unique items.
In all of this, we are hindered by enemies with whom we engage in dynamic combat. We eliminate enemies by using white weapons, bows and magic. As well as regular enemies (such as various beasts and people who are hostile to us), there are much more powerful bosses along the way, which can be difficult to defeat. As you progress, you will develop your character, unlocking new skills and improving the ones you already have, allowing you to take on new challenges.
