Story of the game

Homeworld 3 takes place after the events of the second game in the series. Thanks to a network of hyperspace gates, the galaxy has regularly been plunged into conflict, but each war has been followed by a period of peace and prosperity. However, when these gates begin to fail, many see Karan, who is held in almost divine reverence, as their only chance of salvation.

Game mechanics

In Homeworld 3, you take control of a fleet of interstellar ships and lead them into conflict with enemy forces. Skirmishes take place in three-dimensional environments, but we rarely have to deal with empty interstellar space. More often than not, we find ourselves fighting amidst giant megaliths, the remnants of an ancient civilisation. The presence of these wrecks can be used to your advantage by using them as shields for your units, or by setting traps for your opponents among them.

In addition, we should take into account the specifics of our fleet when developing tactics for subsequent clashes. Among the ships at our disposal we will find both powerful cruisers of the line and smaller but more agile fighters. With the right forces at our disposal, we can launch frontal assaults, attack from the flanks, and manoeuvre to surprise the enemy with attacks from above or below.

Enemies are not the only threats lurking in space. Hazards include large particle storms and asteroid fields, which require careful manoeuvring.
