The Inquisitor is an action-adventure game based on a book series licence. It was developed by independent Polish studio The Dust, whose portfolio so far consists mainly of smaller mobile projects. The plot of the game

The Inquisitor takes us on a journey to an alternate version of the medieval world. 1500 years after Jesus broke off his torture on the cross and descended from it to take revenge on his persecutors, the Inquisitors of the title work to hunt down the infidels, enforcing church law with fire and sword. One of them is Mordimer Madderdin, who has been sent by the Holy Office to the city of Koenigstein, a hotbed of sin. Trying to unravel the mystery of a baffling murder, the protagonist becomes embroiled in a much larger intrigue involving a powerful, dark force.

Our actions and choices will shape the course of the story and influence its outcome.

Game Mechanics

The Inquisitor is played from a third-person perspective (TPP). As the game progresses, we traverse the dark realm of Koenigstein and complete the tasks set before us. To fulfil the duties of an Inquisitor, we must first track down and interrogate suspects, and how we get them to tell the truth is up to us. We can try to achieve our goals through quiet conversation as well as through interrogations inspired by those of the real Inquisition.

But that’s not all, as Mordimer is able to transport himself to the mysterious Underworld, where he can uncover the greatest secrets of suspects. Visits to this dimension should be taken with caution, however, as a demonic force resides there, hunting down anyone who ventures into its domain.

Once we are certain that we have encountered a sinner, we must judge them. This is not an easy task, as in the game world, morality does not necessarily go hand in hand with Church law and order. For this reason, we are often forced to take up the sword and engage in fierce battles with our enemies.

On the battlefield, we will need to demonstrate not only skill and reflexes, but also a keen sense of anticipation in order to identify enemy weaknesses and gaps in their defences. The Inquisitor free download PC cracked.

Technical aspects

The graphical setting of The Inquisitor has been kept in a dark style and a gloomy greyish-grey colour scheme. The overall performance of the game is rather average.
