Grand Theft Auto V – the next installment in Rockstar North studio’s iconic series of gangster action games – takes us to a world modeled after California. In the Grand Theft Auto universe, the state is called San Andreas and consists, among other things, of the city of Los Santos, which is the main setting for the action of Friday. In creating its world, Rockstar once again decided to parody the reality we know, ridiculing ideologies, products, phenomena and people’s behavior. Storyline

The action of GTA 5is set in the big open city of Los Santos, where three unusual characters lead a dangerous life. Covered by the witness protection program, ex-robber Michael leads a quiet life until the day he catches his wife cheating on him with a tennis instructor. In anger, he destroys his lover’s villa, but it turns out that it was owned by one of the drug barons.

Michael has no choice but to return to his former trade, robbing a jewelry store. However, the burglary draws the attention of his former partner, Trevor Philips, who finds him and persuades him to work together again. The two heroes are joined by a ghetto boy, Franklin, eager to make a large fortune quickly.

Game mechanics

During the gameplay in Grand Theft Auto V, we direct all three characters – we can switch between them at any time (except for story missions, which impose specific roles), thus changing the location of the action. The game involves carrying out a variety of tasks, among which robberies are leading.

Before performing a given heist, we have to complete several smaller tasks, such as acquiring the necessary equipment. Then we hire helpers, choose one of the two methods of operation and go on the action. In addition to the story missions, the developers also took care of many smaller tasks. However, they are not relegated to the background, as often thanks to them we learn new information about the main characters.

Los Santos

All this takes place in the city of Los Santos. This is a massive metropolis, created from more than 250,000 images of Los Angeles and the surrounding area. However, the developers did not limit themselves only to the urbanized area, where there is no shortage of skyscrapers and modern settlements. During the game we also visit suburban locations, go to the pier or dive in the ocean. We get to individual places using a variety of vehicles. The most commonly used are, of course, cars, divided into different categories – passenger, racing, off-road, etc. In addition, nothing stands in the way of flying a helicopter, riding a bicycle or sitting at the helm of a bathyscaphe.

The money is flowing

During the execution of all missions, of course, we earn money, which we spend on purchases at local clothing and weapons stores. If we are rich enough, we can invest in one of the available properties, or make ourselves a gift of an expensive sports car. In addition, the gameplay is varied by a number of mini-games, such as tennis, golf and bowling. The developers also allow you to practice yoga, hack computers and more. GTA 5 free download for PC.

Multiplayer

Grand Theft Auto V is divided into two separate entities – single and multiplayer. In the first case, we take part in the aforementioned story campaign, roam the city in search of finds and secrets, perform side missions and so on. The multiplayer mode, on the other hand, called GTA Online, is devoid of a top-down story and allows for unfettered sandbox gameplay, in which we can become a mafia boss, take part in races, heists, a motorcycle-like mode from Tron and more.
