The plot of the game

In Satisfactory, we play as an employee of the Ficsit Corporation, which is engaged in scientific research and the implementation of new technologies. As part of the Save The Day programme, we are sent to one of the distant planets to implement the assumptions of a top-secret project called Project Assembly. Our task is to create a powerful automated factory complex.

Mechanics

When playing Satisfactory on the PC platform, we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The developers have placed an open world of thirty square kilometres at our disposal; an important element of the gameplay is exploration, as this is the only way to find raw materials for the construction of buildings, the construction of various devices and the construction of production lines.

As the goods we produce increase in size over time, success depends on constantly expanding the complex and providing it with sufficiently efficient energy sources. As the factory grows in size, vehicles (such as buggies, trucks and trains) become increasingly important, as do suspended walkways or jumps that make it easier to navigate and move between distant points.

Flora and fauna

Things can be complicated, however, by the local fauna. Although there is no shortage of peaceful creatures to tame among the creatures that roam the planet’s surface, the wild backwoods are often home to aggressive, overgrown predators, and an encounter with one will usually leave you with no choice but to resort to firearms.
