The plot of the game
The main character of The Rogue Prince of Persia is the titular prince, the son of King Peroz. After Ctesiphon, the capital of his kingdom, falls victim to an invasion by Huns using shamanistic magic, the protagonist must embark on a long and dangerous journey to confront the invaders and transform himself from a reckless warrior into a fearless hero.
Gameplay
In The Rogue Prince of Persia, the action is viewed from the side. As the Prince moves through various locations, he will jump on platforms, avoid traps and obstacles, swing on poles, run on walls, perform somersaults and other acrobatic moves.
In addition, the protagonist must face enemies such as magically distorted creatures and mythical beasts. The protagonist fights them by using white and ranged weapons, constantly moving and avoiding enemy attacks. As you progress, you will accumulate better equipment, as well as ornaments and various upgrades, so that you can gradually face greater challenges.
Both during exploration and in duels, it is essential to use the protagonist’s buffs, which allow him to manipulate time, correcting mistakes or even avoiding death. Since the levels are procedurally generated, each attempt to defeat the Huns is different from the last. In between escapades, however, we end up in an oasis that serves as our base camp.
Music in the game
The game in The Rogue Prince of Persia is accompanied by music, which was recorded using, among others, traditional Iranian instruments.
