Story of the game Chornobyl Liquidators

In the game we take on the role of the titular liquidators – the term was used to describe both civilian and military personnel whose task it was to eliminate the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor disaster. This includes both direct actions at the site of the accident, as well as in the surrounding area, such as the nearby city of Pripyat. During this time we will discover government secrets and face more than one moral dilemma.

Gameplay

Chornobyl Liquidators is a first-person title about the tasks of those who have to deal with the radioactive contamination. As we take on the role of members of various personnel assigned to work near the reactor, the gameplay presents us with a variety of challenges. For example, we use firefighting equipment to extinguish fires or remove radiation, and we get behind the wheel of vehicles. With a map in hand, we traverse the flooded corridors of the complex and make our way into locked offices by breaking down doors with a crowbar.

The game is also full of difficult decisions dictated by safety issues – we will have to deal with displacing the population and hunting animals to reduce the risk of spreading radioactive dust. In Chornobyl Liquidators we can obey the will of the government or question the orders we receive. With each new task we learn more and more secrets related to the reactor explosion, discovering, among other things, the conspiracy of conspirators or the extent of the real danger posed by the explosion. Repair the aftermath of the disaster

Assume the role of one of the unnamed heroes and face the treacherous radiation. Go into action as one of the firefighters who fought the fires in the ruins of reactor #4 that fateful night. Travel through the abandoned city of Pripyat as a dosimetrist, battling radioactive dust and clouds. Wearing an anti-chemical suit, traverse the tunnels beneath the reactor in search of the truth.
