Gameplay
In Broken Arrow, the action can be observed from various perspectives, ranging from a distant bird’s-eye view to close-ups of individual units.
Players control troops and take part in major clashes between armies using modern equipment. Players can lead one of two factions — the US or Russia — and use several hundred units divided into six categories: reconnaissance, infantry, combat vehicles, support, helicopters, and air force.
Unique army building
Some battles are won through good planning. Create a combination of units and weapons that suits your style of play to surprise and defeat the enemy. The number of possibilities is enormous, ensuring that each battle is different from the last.
Broken Arrow has a wide range of units divided into six categories:
- Rapid Response Units: Vehicles, drones, and sniper teams that specialize in spotting and marking enemy positions.
- The infantry category includes soldiers armed with rifles, machine guns, rocket and grenade launchers, as well as anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles. Infantry can garrison buildings to gain stealth and protection.
- Combat vehicles include tanks, ATGM transporters, and fire support vehicles.
- Support includes artillery and anti-aircraft vehicles that provide long-range battlefield support, as well as trucks that carry ammunition, repairs, and medical supplies.
- Helicopters are ideal for hit-and-run tactics and are equipped with a variety of rockets, guns, and missiles. They can also transport infantry.
Game modes
In Broken Arrow, players can choose to play alone or with others. The game offers a story campaign and a network multiplayer module (PvP).
Additionally, the game provides a scenario editor with the same set of tools that the developer used to create the campaign missions. Creations developed using the editor can be shared through the Steam Workshop, for example.
Broken Arrow features realistic 3D graphics, evident in the faithfully reproduced models of vehicles and other military equipment.
