Story of the game
Cataclismo takes us on a journey to a dark fantasy world. Once upon a time, its inhabitants enjoyed a happy life of abundance, provided by the gifts of the heavens known as Perlas. Their happiness came to an end when the entire land was shrouded in an ominous mist, from which creatures straight out of a nightmare began to emerge.
Those who managed to survive sought refuge from the titular cataclysm in the last human city, but it too soon found itself targeted by the masterminds.
Fortunately, all is not lost, as there is still a Perla alive in the body of a young researcher named Iris. But before the survivors can use her to organize an expedition into the ruins of the forgotten kingdom to reclaim the lost world, they must first fight for their lives.
Gameplay
In Cataclismo, the action is seen from a bird’s eye view. During the day, we manage the city, gather resources from abandoned mines and crushed chests, build walls and towers, construct and use battle machines and traps, and recruit soldiers.
All of this is done in preparation for the coming of night, when bloodthirsty monsters emerge from the mists and our defenses are put to the test.
The thicker our walls, the denser our traps, and the more cannons and soldiers we can muster, the better our chances of survival. On the other hand, if we are toppled and our defenses are breached, we can use our last resort and manipulate time to give our subordinates one more chance to survive.
Game Modes
In addition to the story campaign, Cataclismo offers a sandbox mode in which we can build castles without worrying about the threats of the masterminds lurking in the mist.
The graphics of Cataclismo are kept in an atmospheric, dark cartoon style.
