Gamer, if you’re here, the first-person perspective is not scary for you. If you’re looking for addictive FPS games for PC, you’ve come to the right place! Check out our entire catalog of different productions, both niche and AAA. Our list includes several hundred shooters, including well-known and popular brands such as Far Cry, Call of Duty, Wolfenstein or Battlefield. Arcade shoot-em-ups are intertwined with tactical battlefield simulators. Something for everyone!

It is difficult to say which battle royale is the best, but it is not difficult to deny the popularity of these games. The rules are very simple. Multiple players land on a huge map and fight to be the last one standing. Simple? To the point of triviality. But how addictive! Each game is slightly different and the action is very fluid and even addictive. The battle royale trend is here to stay, so we highly recommend checking it out to see if you like it.

What do you look for in FPP games?

Do you prefer frantic driving in a great multiplayer mode or perhaps a single player campaign? Either way, both choices will give you plenty of shooting! Each first-person shooter includes either a story campaign, pvp battles against other players, or both. It’s up to you which you choose. For fans of an interesting story, we recommend unusual PC games like Bioshock, Deathloop or Metro Exodus. However, story is not always important, and this is brilliantly demonstrated by Doom Eternal – probably the most dynamic shooter you can find! On the other hand, those who like to compete with others should focus on the productions of Dice, Electronic Arts, Valve, Bungie or Arkane. With these studios and publishers you can fight on virtual battlefields and enjoy smooth multiplayer gameplay.

Shooter game rules

Shooters belong to the simpler genres of games, which does not mean that they are not challenging. In them, we control various characters from a first-person point of view, which means that we generally see a narrow field in front of us and what we are currently holding in our hands. In short, we see through the eyes of the character. The best effect in this area is clearly produced by VR. In virtual reality, FPP works brilliantly and offers the most freedom. However, this is still a niche area, which is why classic FPS (first-person shooter) games still lead in popularity, despite their more static nature. A full-fledged shooter should provide the player with a variety of firearms and white weapons. It is this choice that sometimes determines the lifespan of the production – the more content, the better. The first fiddle, of course, is the gameplay itself.

It has to be enjoyable, smooth and dynamic, although it must be admitted that slower, more tactical shooter games are sometimes more exciting for some. Regardless of the speed of the game, playing shooters requires reflexes. Top players are masters of eye-hand coordination, reacting in fractions of a second. You don’t want to run into them on the server! Of course, knowledge of maps, weapons, and cooperation also counts. But this is all for multiplayer-oriented productions. The single-player ones are more focused and experience-oriented. In our opinion, they sometimes offer more excitement, although they are certainly not as replayable. Your action can take place in an open world where you decide where to go next, or in more corridor-based locations where you are “led by the hand”. Nowhere does it say which FPS is best. We leave that decision up to you!

The best PC FPS in gaming history

The first-person shooter genre was born in the 1990s and immediately captured the hearts of gamers. There is a good chance that you will find your favorite shooter from the past here. Old cult games are our specialty. We know very well how important nostalgia is for gamers. Old retro titles inspire, help to better understand modern productions and most of all bring back fond memories of childhood. Who among us hasn’t played a game from the Counter Strike, CoD or Half-Life series? You can go back even further and remember titles like Quake, Wolfenstein, Doom, etc. It was these productions that defined and established the genre of first-person shooter (FPS) games.

The prevailing opinion among gamers is sometimes that these iconic games were better. It is not our place to settle this argument. Everyone appreciates different qualities in shooters, but after playing Titanfall 2, Destiny 2, Far Cry 6, the new Modern Warfare, Prey, or Borderlands 2, you cannot deny their beautiful graphics, attention to detail, and most importantly, addictive shooting mechanics. The setting itself is also a key element. Each installment of the Call of Duty series, for example, is set in a different time period. Some people like to go back to World War II, others prefer fantastical stories about a fictional conflict set somewhere far out in space, and still others prefer something post-apocalyptic. The choice is considerable!
