Disney Dreamlight Valley is a production on the borderline between adventure games and life simulations. Gameloft is behind the development of this project. Dreamlight Valley debuted with an unusual business model: access to the early access version, which will launch in September 2022, required the purchase of an Xbox Game Pass subscription or a Founder’s Pack. The plot of the game

Disney Dreamlight Valley takes us on a journey into the fantastic universe of Disney and Pixar, to be precise – to the titular valley that once teemed with life and provided a home for characters from iconic cartoons. The idyll ended when the land was struck by a cataclysm called the Forgetting, which caused the Night Thorns to grow in the land and steal the memories of its inhabitants. They have no choice but to lock themselves away in the Dream Castle and wait for rescue.

Luckily, all is not lost, for we appear in the valley, and now the task rests on our shoulders to save its inhabitants and restore order to the place.

Game mechanics

In Disney Dreamlight Valley we see the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). During the gameplay we traverse a variety of kingdoms, which are maintained in the style characteristic of certain Disney or Pixar works. In each of them we have to face numerous challenges, solve puzzles and complete the tasks set before us. All this in order to save the inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley and bring them back to the valley.

The valley itself serves as a hub where we go between expeditions. To bring the place back to life, we have to rebuild it, which means building new structures (and improving the ones we already have) and decorating the area with thousands of decorative items.

Nothing will stop us from enjoying a variety of activities with the rescued characters, such as working in the garden with WALL-E’s help, or going fishing with Goofy.
