Enotria: The Last Song takes us on a journey to a fantasy world inspired by the culture and folklore of Italy. Years ago, this picturesque land was burdened with the curse of Canovaccio, which affected its inhabitants and turned them into empty shells. In the course of the game, we play the role of the so-called Force of Change – a character immune to the curse of Canovaccio. Our task is to deal with the curse, to deal with those who are behind it, and as a result – to restore the old order in all of Enotria.

Game mechanics of Enotria: The Last Song

In Enotria: The Last Song is played from a third-person perspective (TPP). The production draws from the achievements of the soulslike genre, so the salt of the gameplay is traversing various locations and fighting enemies. Most of the inhabitants of Enotria are hostile to us, but from time to time we meet allies who give us valuable information about the game world. In addition, the game is varied by occasional environmental puzzles.

A special feature of Enotria’s gameplay mechanics are the masks, which act as a kind of character class that can be switched on the fly. We can use up to three at a time to instantly change our equipment and available abilities. We gain them after defeating each stronger enemy.

Fighting in different ways

In combat, we use both melee weapons (such as swords and spears) and ranged weapons (such as crossbows), as well as a variety of combat skills. Duels are dynamic, requiring constant movement, quick dodges, and lightning-fast counterattacks, as well as careful observation of the enemy’s movements in search of weaknesses and defensive gaps.

In addition to serial enemies, from time to time we will face much more powerful (in terms of both strength and size) opponents who will act as bosses here. Technical issues

The game Enotria: The Last Song was created using Unreal Engine 5 technology, and what sets it apart from other Souls games is its graphical style. Instead of keeping the whole thing in a dark, gloomy tone, the developers tried to reflect the peculiarities of Italian architecture and nature as much as possible. As a result, the virtual world is full of warm colors, and the locations are bathed in the rays of the summer sun, such as densely grassy hills and narrow city streets.
