GreedFall II: The Dying World is the second installment of the RPG series, which will be released in 2019. The production was developed by the French studio Spiders (known, among others, for such projects as The Technomancer and Steelrising), while its release was handled by Nacon, which oversees the brand. Story of the game
The action of GreedFall II: The Dying World takes place three years before the events presented in the first part of the series. During the game we play as a character from the island of Teer Fradee, who one day is captured and deported to the continent of Gacane, ravaged by war and the Malichor plague.
Our first task is to find our place in the old world and regain our freedom. However, it soon becomes clear that we will have to play a key role in saving both the continent and our home island from the temptations of a man driven by sick ambition.
To accomplish all this, we must use cunning, diplomacy, and violence. At the same time, we are not condemned to a lonely voyage, as over time we manage to win the friendship of more and more allies.
Game mechanics
In GreedFall II: The Dying World we see the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). We start the game by creating a character. On the continent of Gacane, there are many places to visit, from the bustling city of Olima to the picturesque shores of Uxantis. As we traverse them, we will get to know their inhabitants and the factions that roil them, complete various quests, and gain potential allies to join us on our adventures. With allies, we can not only form close relationships, but also romances.
The game has a non-linear structure, and it depends on our decisions how the story will turn out. The developers also made modifications to the combat system, so that clashes now require more strategic planning.
Different Types of Enemies
Dynamic encounters with enemies play an important role. Both aggressive humans and a variety of hostile creatures stand in our way. On the battlefield, we can freely switch between team members. As you progress, you will develop your character and his companions, and equip your team with better and better equipment.
