Gameplay
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions allows you to take the role of a player or a member of the title team of Quidditch, a fictional sport beloved by wizards and known from the Harry Potter series of books and movies. The matches, in which the participants sit on broomsticks, take place on a variety of pitches, among which we can find both places well known to fans of J.K. Rowling’s work and its adaptations, as well as completely new locations.
The title allows us to choose which position we want to play: we can be a seeker, a batsman, a defender or a pursuer. The goal of the pursuers is to throw the ball through one of the hoops of the opposing team, which the defenders try to prevent. The bludger’s job is to defend members of his own team from attackers with enchanted balls called pestles. The seeker, on the other hand, is concerned with finding and chasing a tiny ball called a candle, the capture of which ends the game.
The game allows us to create our own character or choose one of the characters from the Harry Potter series. As we progress, we develop the player or character with skill points and upgrade our broom.
Game modes
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions features both single-player and multiplayer gameplay over the Internet. The title offers:
- A career, where we follow our character from backyard games at the Weasley Burrow to the World Cup of Quidditch; it can be completed alone or in cooperative mode;
- Showcase matches, where you create teams, choose a map and difficulty level, and then begin a fierce battle for victory, playing solo or in teams of up to three;
- A competitive multiplayer mode where we can compete against players from around the world.
