LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a new installment in the series of action adventure games, in which the Star Wars universe is combined with popular LEGO bricks. The title is a kind of final conclusion of the series and allows you to relive the events of the three cinematic trilogies from 1977-2019. The game’s plot

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga takes into account the stories known from the nine full-length films from the Star Wars universe, starting with the fate of Anakin Skywalker during the Old Republic, through Luke Skywalker’s clash with the Empire and ending with Rey’s journey. It is not, however, a faithful egranization. In keeping with the traditions of games with LEGO in the title, the events are presented with a wink, enriching the story with a good dose of humor.

Game mechanics

The fundamentals of gameplay in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga do not differ significantly from the scheme developed by previous LEGO Star Wars games. The title is a colorful action adventure game, in which we direct characters known from the movie screen. Hundreds of characters, such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Obi Wan Kenobi, are put at our disposal. Together with them, we traverse locations, fight enemies and solve simple puzzles.

Although, in principle, the gameplay formula remained unchanged, the developers introduced some modifications and additional attractions. We can freely fly ships (including the iconic Millennium Falcon) in space, as well as land on selected planets in many different locations. A considerable novelty is the combat system. The developers have developed mechanics that allow even the youngest players to play, while leaving room for more skilled players.

Technical issues

Traveller’s Tales studio has made an effort to make LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga look like an eighth-generation console game. The visuals have been kept in the style familiar from previous installments, but a lot of detail has been added like sand collecting on character figures on desert Tatooine.
