The plot of the game
The game takes place after the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. The production tells the story of Kazuma Kiryu, the main protagonist of the series until Yakuza 7, where he was replaced by a new character.
With Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, we can find out what happened to Kazuma during this time and learn about his adventures that took place between the sixth and eighth installments of the series.
Game Mechanics
Like Dragon Gaiden, The Man Who Erased His Name is a return to the roots of the series. So we get an action-adventure game with an arcade combat system.
During the game, we explore an open world and perform a variety of tasks. Most of them require us to defeat opponents in brawls using mainly fists and kicks. As you progress through the game, you will unlock more fighting styles and more advanced attacks and other techniques.
The game world is filled with optional side quests. Many of them take the form of various mini-games, such as karaoke or playing in a slot machine lounge.
