Game mechanics
In Memoriapolis, we build and develop a metropolis over 2,500 years. At the beginning of the game, we tie the fate of our city to one of the cultures, which gives us certain advantages. For example, choosing philosophers will increase our chances of finding treasure, craftsmen will provide us with more natural resources, and priests can expect donations from the faithful.
Developing in each age
Next, we build the foundations of an ancient city, then move through the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the Enlightenment, gaining access to new mechanics, buildings, or improvements. Gradually, we create laws through decrees and build a network of interdependencies (including the production of goods and their storage), while the metropolis develops organically (we don’t have to worry about laying roads, for example).
Take care of the inhabitants
In addition to managing resources and interfering in politics or administration, we also face numerous problems. The city’s inhabitants are subject to famine, fires, and historical disasters such as the Black Death. Their discontent can lead to rebellions and riots that cannot be dealt with without the help of soldiers. Fortunately, there are also positive events in Memoriapolis.
It’s not a building – it’s a real miracle
An important element of the city are special buildings called miracles – their construction significantly affects the prestige of the metropolis. They include the Library of Alexandria, Windsor Castle, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Palace of Versailles.
