The plot of the game
The action takes place on an island known as Isola Sacra. An ancient plague, known as the Plague, returns to its shores. The chaos caused by it decides to use a ruthless representative of the Church, known as Madrigal Seline, to prove her piety. Her forces begin a battle for the island with the local government, and the rebels are also drawn into the conflict, plunging the entire Isola Sacra into chaos.
The player takes on the role of Cermin, one of the holy warriors called to fight the Pomor. As he battles the plague, he will also become embroiled in local political conflicts.
Game mechanics
No Rest for the Wicked is an action-RPG in which events are viewed from a bird’s eye view. The gameplay focuses on combat using an arcade skirmish system and character development.
Combat is fast and demanding, and success on the battlefield requires not only good reflexes, but also high precision. There is a considerable arsenal to choose from, with each type of weapon offering different types of attack. Players can also use runes to enchant weapons and forge their own armour, which, combined with the progression system, allows players to tailor their hero to their own play style.
Between battles, players can relax in the town of Sacrament, where they can buy their own property and decorate it to their liking. Players can also spend their free time fishing and farming for resources to regenerate health and improve stats.
