Outcast 2: A New Beginning is the second instalment of the action-adventure game series launched in 1999. The production was developed by the authors of the original, the Belgian team Appeal Studios. The plot of the game
Outcast 2: A New Beginning takes us on a journey to the planet Adelpha, known from the first part of the series. Once again, we take on the role of a former commando – Cutter Slade – who has been resurrected to once again try to save the inhabitants of this planet. The ancient Talan race has fallen victim to an invasion of robots who enslaved them and then robbed Adelpha of its resources.
Game mechanics
Outcast 2: A New Beginning is played from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game features an open world consisting of Talan settlements, ancient temples and a wilderness full of dangers. Exploration of this vast land is enhanced by a jetpack that allows you to reach high and hard-to-reach places.
As you roam Adelpha, you will complete various missions and help the Talan liberate their villages, which will involve battling enemies. Both robots and aggressive members of the local fauna stand in our way. We face them with firearms or in melee combat. In combat, we also use a jetpack that allows us to evade at lightning speed.
As we progress, we will acquire more powerful equipment. We can upgrade or customise the weapons we already have by combining many different elements. Over time, we also learn ancient Talan skills that allow us to harness the forces of nature. Outcast: A New Beginning free download for PC.
