The plot of the game
In terms of plot, the game is a reboot that does not pick up the threads of any previous incarnation of the series.
The action is set in ancient Persia. The player takes on the role of Sargon, one of the so-called Immortals, or elite warriors of the royal guard. The story begins when the Persian prince we are protecting is kidnapped and it falls on our shoulders to rescue him. It won’t be easy, as the prince’s trail leads to Mount Qaf, where unexplained phenomena are occurring – most notably time distortions.
Game mechanics
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a dynamic 2.5D platformer, which means that while the graphics are in 3D, the gameplay takes place in two dimensions. As you play, you will explore maps, avoid traps and hazards, solve puzzles and fight various enemies.
The skirmish system is purely arcade and offers the possibility of deriving many types of attack and combining them into powerful combos.
The protagonist we’re controlling is very agile, so various stunts, including running on walls, play a key role in the gameplay. Sargon also has the power to leave a shadow frozen in time, which you can teleport to and use as a tactical tool to overlap enemies in unusual ways. Throughout the game, we can also purchase magical amulets that give us access to a variety of new abilities and facilities.
