The plot of the game

Republic of Pirates takes us to the Caribbean during the golden age of piracy. The Republic was once a powerful force, created by pirates based on shared ideals, ambitions and a code of honour. Over time, however, the values on which it was built gave way to greed and jealousy, which led to bloodshed and ultimately its downfall. As the game progresses, we take on the role of a young pirate who sets out to reclaim his father’s legacy and bring justice to the traitors.

Game mechanics

Republic of Pirates gives you a bird’s eye view of the action. During the game, our main task is to develop our headquarters. Although we start the game with a small outpost, over time it can grow into a thriving settlement and gradually increase its position on the map of the Caribbean. To do this, we need to gather resources and build various structures (especially production buildings), operate skilfully on the black market, trade in manufactured goods, and provide our citizens with access to a variety of luxury goods. Over time, this will take your settlement to the next level, giving you the ability to create increasingly complex production chains.

But that’s not all: as the game progresses, we’ll also have to manage relations with other pirate groups and powers that claim territory. Due to the complicated international situation, diplomacy is not easy and we often have to work hard to avoid alienating those more powerful than us. However, sooner or later there will be bloodshed, so our fleet, commanded by the captains we recruit, will also play an important role.

Build a huge fleet

Production provides us with a wide range of ships built in our shipyards – from relatively small brigantines to mighty warships. They are used both to defend against enemies and to organise raids. Battles at sea take place in real time, and the key to success is not only using the firepower of your ships, but also the right tactics.
