Soulmask is a sandbox survival game with RPG and strategy elements developed by the independent team of CampFire Studio. The title offers a world of more than 60 square kilometers as well as an elaborate tribal life. Plot
In the game we play a character who comes into possession of a mysterious mask that guarantees her superhuman abilities. From then on, our task is to find and learn the secrets of other artifacts, as well as to create a tribe capable of surviving in a world full of dangers.
Gameplay
Soulmask is a third-person view production. It focuses on exploring the world, fighting for survival and developing your own tribe. In the course of the game, we will travel through a variety of regions (including volcanic interiors, jungles, deserts, or snow-capped mountains), each of which is characterized by different challenges, fauna, and flora.
An important aspect of the gameplay are the title masks – with their help we can take on the appearance of former heroes, as well as possess their skills. Thanks to them, we can improve our archery skills, become invisible or dominate defeated opponents. The latter ability allows us to recruit barbarians and make them members of the tribe.
Build a strong group
In Soulmask, the role of the protagonist is played by the entire community around us – this allows us to take control of our fellow tribesmen and develop them in different directions. We get specialists in hunting, stealth, or heavily armed warriors.
They are the ones who will face wild animals, hostile civilizations, and bosses with unique attributes. No less important are experts in leatherworking, farming, gathering resources (wood, stones, minerals, etc.), or breeding animals (including mounts).
Unconquered fortress
Many of the activities available in the game take place in our village, which we gradually expand. We build defensive walls, set traps, create sleeping and working areas, and set up production chains. In this way, we make the tribe’s headquarters both a self-sufficient place and a difficult place for enemies to raid.
Game Modes
CampFire Studio’s masterpiece is designed for networked play with up to 70 people playing at the same time. Users can cooperate with each other as well as fight for goods. In addition to multiplayer gameplay, Soulmask also features a single-player mode.
