The Invincible is a first-person retro-futuristic thriller adapted from Stanislaw Lem’s novel Invincible. The game is being developed by debut studio Starward Industries, whose developers have worked on titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3 and Dying Light. The Invincible download for free.

The plot of the game

The world depicted in The Invincible has evolved differently from ours – the digital age never came to it. This means that all the advanced equipment in the game is based on analog technology.

The player assumes the role of Yasna – a member of a group conducting an interstellar research mission. At the beginning of the adventure, she wakes up on the alien planet Regis III. She doesn’t remember how she got here, but she knows that she didn’t come alone. However, the other members of the crew have disappeared without a trace, and the heroine must find them.

As she learns the fate of the missing crew, it quickly becomes clear that Regis III is a very dangerous place. Not only are there agents of the hostile human empire, but to make matters worse, it soon becomes apparent that the planet is inhabited by aggressive inorganic creatures.

Game Mechanics

In The Invincible, the player is mainly engaged in exploration, learning the story and overcoming logical and arcade challenges. Throughout the game, our character is assisted by Astrogator, who gives helpful advice over the radio. We can also use a mechanical probe and a set of analog machines to help us overcome obstacles.

We observe the events from the first-person perspective. The plot presented in the production is non-linear and its course changes depending on the decisions made by the player during the adventure. Technical Issues

The Invincible was developed using the Unreal Engine. The graphic design is kept in a retrofuturistic climate, inspired by the style of science fiction novels and films from the early days of the Cold War.
