The Walking Dead: Destinies is an action-adventure game based on the popular series of the same name, also broadcast in Poland under the name The Living Dead. The work allows us to take part in the most important events that took place in the first four seasons of the TV production. The Walking Dead: Destinies free download.
At key moments, we can change the original course of events and explore an alternative version of the story (including saving or causing the death of the main characters).
The plot of the game
The beginning of the game follows the canon of the series and shows the fate of police officer Rick Grimes, who wakes up from a coma in an abandoned hospital. It soon becomes clear that the world he knows has changed drastically, and bloodthirsty corpses (called stalkers) are running rampant through the streets of the cities.
The protagonist joins a group of survivors to fight for survival in a post-apocalyptic setting where the living are still the biggest threat.
Game Mechanics
In The Walking Dead: Destinies, we observe the action from a third-person perspective, and throughout the game we have the opportunity to take on characters familiar to fans of the series. In addition to Rick, the cast also includes Glenn, Shane, Daryl and Michonne, with each character distinguished by their available abilities. The Walking Dead: Destinies also sees the return of series locations, including the city of Atlanta, the Greene family farm, a prison in West Georgia and Woodbury, commanded by the apodictic Governor.
During gameplay, we will sneak among enemies and take part in direct combat. In the latter, we’ll use an arsenal of firearms and melee weapons (including Michonne’s iconic katana and Daryl’s crossbow). Duels will be brutal in nature, with both bloody decapitations of enemies and scenes of heroes dying (e.g. being mowed down by hordes of walkers).
The game will feature economic elements, including the management and expansion of the survivors’ camp, as well as the collection and management of available resources. The Walking Dead: Destinies free download for PC.
Technical issues
Thanks to a license from the AMC television network, which oversees the production of The Walking Dead: Destinies, the characters have facial models based on the appeal of actors familiar from the screen (including Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus).
