V Rising is a multiplayer survival game in which we play the role of a vampire. The production was developed by the team at Stunlock Studios – a Swedish team with projects such as Bloodline Champions and Battlerite in their portfolio. V Rising play for free.

The plot of the game

V Rising takes us on a journey into a fantastic gothic world. During the course of the game, we play the role of a vampire whose dream of hundreds of years has come to an end. Now the protagonist is trying to regain his exaggerated strength and build a real empire that will terrify the people of this dark land, as well as the monsters that roam the wilderness and other bloodsuckers.

Game mechanics

V Rising gives you a bird’s eye view of the action. The production puts a huge open world at our disposal. In it we will find dark forests, small and large settlements and abysmal undergrounds. Playing the role of a vampire, we can only afford to explore freely at night, while during the day we are condemned to hide from the sunlight and lurk in the shadows.

As the game progresses, we will hunt for the source of our lifeblood, raid villages, kill bandits and confront enemy soldiers. We also battle a variety of creatures and face off against other bloodsuckers. The battles are dynamic and require dexterity and reflexes (timely attacks and dodges). Enemies are eliminated with melee and ranged weapons or by using a variety of combat skills and spells.

Character Development

As you progress through the game, you will develop your character by acquiring more powerful skills and collecting better equipment, which you can either craft yourself or acquire by other means (such as stealing it from defeated enemies). Along the way, we will also get our hands on raw materials to upgrade our fortress. The castle will serve as our base camp, a place to store our loot, and a rallying point for our troops. So we need to make sure it looks good and is as practical as possible.

We recruit soldiers from among the humans we decide to turn into vampires. We need the army both to invade other players’ strongholds and to defend our own. On the other hand, nothing prevents us from forming alliances with other players and facing all sorts of dangers together.
