Plot of the game

Welcome to ParadiZe takes us on a journey to a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, or more precisely, to the land of ParadiZe. This place was created by Jeff Tusk, an eccentric billionaire whose company – Tusk Industries – has developed a hacking helmet (christened Zombot) that allows you to take control of any living corpse.

As the game progresses, we take on the role of one of the survivors who ends up in ParadiZe. It’s up to us whether we concentrate on developing and defending our hideout, or venture out into the world to discover its secrets and face its threats.

Game mechanics

Welcome to ParadiZe uses an isometric view of the action. ParadiZe is a vast land where we will find both a forested valley and a desert or snowy wilderness. As we traverse it, we must be on our guard, as dangers lurk around every corner. As well as serial enemies, there are much more powerful bosses to contend with, including a giant zombie elephant.

Combat is dynamic, and we make use of more or less makeshift weapons. As you progress, you will collect resources that you can use to create better and better equipment. It is worth remembering that we are not condemned to a lonely journey; thanks to Zombot, we can have a guard in the form of brave (but also rather stupid) corpses, who will defend us from threats (or at least try to) on the principle that man is a wolf to man and zombie is a zombie to zombie. Over time, you will also get to know other survivors living in ParadiZe, among whom there is no shortage of colourful characters and factions.

Developing your camp

Our base of operations is the camp. Although it doesn’t look like much at first, as you progress you’ll be able to expand it into a thriving settlement. As ParadiZe is teeming with threats (led by herds of the living dead), it’s worth taking care of the camp’s defences in advance. Of course, we use the zombies we force to work to build palisades and set traps.
