Story of the game

Against the Storm takes us to a fantastic world inhabited by humans, beavers and lizards. The land is struggling with Blightstorm – a powerful storm that cyclically destroys everything in its path. As the game progresses, we take on the role of a viceroy, tasked with gathering the resources needed to rebuild and improve the capital, Smouldering City. To do this, we must build more settlements in the wilderness and bravely face adversity.

Game mechanics

Against the Storm takes a bird’s eye view of the action. Gameplay takes place in the rhythm of three rainy seasons, distinguished by the intensity of the rainfall and the violence of the storms. As the caretaker of the newly established settlement, we must focus on its constant expansion.

To do this, we must constantly clear the forest, gather raw materials, build various structures and create complex production chains. Among the available buildings, the most important are Gathering Camps, which allow the exploitation of natural resources, and Workshops, which produce various goods. In our desire to fulfil the mission entrusted to us, we must not forget our subjects, who not only need a place to sleep, but also something to eat and, from time to time, a little entertainment, which can be found, among other places, in taverns.

As we progress, we will unlock random upgrades and systems that should make our lives a little easier. Against the Storm PC download for free cracked.

We can use the resources we accumulate to expand Smouldering City. Once the storm has passed, there is nothing left for us to do but choose a location on the map (procedurally generated by violent storms) that has been altered by the storms, and begin the arduous process of building a new settlement in the new area.
